Anyone up for some Saturday morning cartoons and cereal? We're serving cereal and screening cartoons from the '80s and '90s on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (because we know you don't like to rise as early as you used to). Program is for people old enough to remember having to wait until Saturday to watch cartoons...and using a television to do so.

On Sunday, we made bird mobiles out of colorful strings, branches, straw and other materials that birds can use to build nests. We then stocked our mobiles with peanut butter & birdseed pinecone treats for our feathered friends. The mobiles are hanging outside the library's east entrance. Thanks to Bookworm Gardens for leading this program!

Checking items out from the library is about to become much easier. We’re a couple months away from installing automated book-checkout stations that won't require you to search for and scan a bar code. Simply set your items on our new machines - and you’re done. You’ll be in and out quicker, and library items will be turned around in a fraction of the time as the same technology will be used when books are returned. The machines will also accept debit cards and one will even take cash (online payments are coming soon, too). Yes, we’re excited. You?
