We stayed for 2 nights and had wonderful service at the hotel. Everything was clean fresh and well cared for.
Staff was very friendly and location was perfect. The only complaint I have is the parking. After getting back late i had to park across the street. (but hey its a small hotel downtown)
I was not happy with the extra $1.50 charge for a "safe" for each nights stay. I thought that was a cheap throw in especially since i did not use or ask for any safe. bit I missed it on our check out sheet and did not get a chance to bring it up.
watch for that uneeded unused charge if you stay there.
I was also really impressed with how clean the pool was. Would for sure stay again

January weekend stay. 5 minutes from KC convention center. Clean, quiet rooms, plenty of free parking, great hot breakfast including eggs, sausage, waffles, greek yogurt, etc.. Refrigerator and microwave in the room, useful for traveling on a budget. Bathroom was clean, beds comfortable, staff helpful and polite. Neighborhood feels a bit 'run down', but we felt safe at all times and access to the interstate could not be more convenient. We have been to this hotel before and will definitely be back again.

I did not stay here, but I still wanted to voice my opinion. I called 4 different times, talked to 4 different people and no one was able to pass me onto the manager/scheduler to help me block rooms for my wedding. I was looking for a "nicer/comfortable, but still affordable" hotel and this popped up on google. Each time I called, I was told the manager was not available and was given a time to call again. I also left my contact information the second and third calls. The times all varied (9 AM, 7 PM, the next Tuesday, and 11 AM in that order) and at one point (the third call if I remember correctly) the receptionist said the "manager has been sick all week and hasn't come to work." Today will be the 9 day mark with no call back and at this point I am taking my business elsewhere.

I was in town to interview at Kansas City University of medicine and biosciences for medical school. This hotel was ideally placed for that purpose, and I was able to walk directly to the medical school. The room was extremely clean and had nice amenities. The breakfast was very good. It also happened to be near a bus stop that I was able to use to get around to try out some restaurants and see the city. Great choice for this purpose.

The bed and pillows were comfortable and breakfast was as good as expected. Some of the decor was remodeled/updated and some looked old. The pool area, both air and water, were pretty cold and they said they couldn't do anything about it. The pool was also quite small and no hot tub. If you want to swim go somewhere else, if you just want to sleep the price is right.
