Today was my first time there and I liked it. There trails were marked pretty well and easy to navigate. There were signs and red blazes along the trail. Some areas of the trail had new blazes and some were worn. The waterfall at the end was worth the walk. Camping would have been cool but didn't do that this time. I recommend this hike.

This is a really beautiful place. Took 4 kids ages 9-14 and did it in a little over 5 hours including an hour to play and picnic at the falls. Would not consider it a “hard” trail if you’ve done much hiking outside of AL. But pretty sure it is more than 6 miles. Had such a great time and Wish we had planned a longer day or overnight. Red blazes were not very evident the last half mile or so but it’s just one trail and stays along the water at the end. Be sure to go all the way to the end, across and up past the first falls.

Advise-go prepared. We did this hike on a whim and got educated. The hike took us longer than expected and we had to almost race back up the mountain before it got dark. Will go back again when more time.

When the state says its gonna take you at least 6 hours to hike this. Please don't go 2 hours before nightfall. I did and we had to walk a random road for 2.4 miles. At one point we had been followed by some animals in the woods. The hike was awesome though as were always looking for the thrill. We went swimming too and it was freezing cold. I recommend taking a lot of water and maybe a snack or two. But my brothers and I are adventurous so we had nothing but our clothes and shoes. 5 stars definitely will be going back. This hike was just amazing!!

Great trail. Beautiful site at the bottom. Took my dog and I about 3 hours round trip. But be warned you're going down hill when you start out and up hill on your way back to the parking lot. It's a lot easier to to the falls than it is coming back.
